Welcome to the Parish of Winton, Moordown & Charminster
you're really welcome here
We're so glad you're here!
The Parish of Winton, Moordown and Charminster (or Parish of WMC for short), is a large Church of England parish in the north of Bournemouth, Dorset about a mile from beautiful, award winning beaches.
We have three churches in our care, St John the Baptist, Moordown, St Luke, Winton and St Alban, Charminster. We are rooted and grounded in what is known as the 'Liberal-Catholic' tradition which means that we often have services where the priest wears robes, have a choir and servers. However, we also like to mix it up a bit with things like Messy Church, Informal Communion and Taizé Prayer. But it's not all about Sunday here! We like to use our amazing spaces to do things a bit differently and work in and with the local community.
We have a wide variety of services and where we can we livestream our services. They can be found on both our Facebook page and YouTube Channel (accessed through the buttons towards the bottom of each page - or search 'Parish of WMC'). The parish calendar can be found both via a menu item at the top of the page and also at the bottom of the 'What goes on' page (accessed HERE).
We are proud members of Inclusive Church and do our very best to ensure that everyone is included. Read more about who we are by clicking HERE. We're also proud to display the 'HonestChurch' logo and being upfront about our welcome and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community (read more HERE).
